I first heard the fantastic voice of Gal Costa in the wonderful song "So Louco" as well as in
"Modinha Para Gabriela" on a Best of... album featuring Dorival Caymmi. She is very famous in Brasil
and began her career in the 1960s. The album offers easy listening music, very relaxed and
reveals its beauty the more you dive into the sound.

Janos Starker - Bach Suites for Solo Cello
Janos Starker- Suites for Solo Cello and Sonatas in G & D Major
for Cello and Piano (Gyorgy Sebok) recorded between '63 and '65 and released under the label
"Mercury Living Presence".
A wonderful experience to listen to famous cellist Jonas Starker playing mostly solo on this
very good recording.

Gil Scott-Heron - I'm New Here
I bought this highly anticipated album shortly after its release in January/February.
An unusual album if you're used to the classic Scott-Heron songs. To me it seems more
like poetry packed in short and concise songs. Follow the instructions how to listen to
the album on the inner sleeve and you'll immediately know what I mean. You get drawn in
to the atmophere of the record - and it's addictive.
In May I visited his concert which was a great event. Gil Scott-Heron nearly played
a quarter of an hour alone on stage, just with his E-piano. Amazing to listen to the
old songs like "Winter In America" and "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" in solo performance
and how Gil manages to catch the audience with his rhythem and impressive voice.
The vinyl version comes with a bonus record containing piano only versions of older
songs.
Definitely my album of the year 2010.
